Tanushree Dutta, who started the #MeToo India movement, after she openly accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment on the sets of the 2008 film Horn Ok Pleasss has now decided to take one step forward. Apparently, the Bollywood actress has filed defamation case worth Rs. 10 crores against Rakhi Sawant.

Recently, Rakhi Sawant, who had replaced Tanushree in the song of the film Horn Ok Pleasss, called a press conference, where she called the actress a liar. Rakhi passed many comments about Tanushree's image and alleged that she was cooking up stories against the actor.

Speaking to Republic TV, Tanushree's lawyer Nitin Satpute said, “We have filed a criminal and civil defamation case against Rakhi Sawant for maligning my client's character and image. If she fails to revert, she will be punished for two years or fined or both.”

After coming back from the US, Tanushree spoke about her ordeal on national television in an interview. She even mentioned that she was attacked after she tried to leave the sets of the film. Many Bollywood celebrities came out in her support, however, Rakhi had something more to add.

After being accused of sexual harassment, Nana Patekar decided to drop out from the film Housefull 4. He was also questioned by CINTAA on the same.

He recently responded to CINTAA on the allegations and mentioned that Tanushree’s claims were 'motivated' and 'malicious'.
