Mumbai Police have always been active on social media and time and again, they have picked up issues against popular Bollywood actors. Just yesterday Varun Dhawan was accused of not following rules. He got into trouble after he obliged a fan with a selfie in the middle of a road. What followed was a challan being issued to the actor.
Varun will next be seen in October
The actor was in his car when a fan in the adjacent rickshaw wanted to click a picture with him. The actor got out from the window of his car and clicked a selfie with the fan. The paparazzi caught this moment and it made its way in today's newspapers. This action of Varun didn't go down to well with Mumbai traffic Police who tweeted to the actor with the image and also warned him that next time they will be harsh.
The police tweeted, "@Varun_dvn These adventures surely work on D silver screen but certainly not on the roads of Mumbai! U have risked ur life,ur admirer’s & few others. V expect better from a responsible Mumbaikar & youth icon like U! An E-Challan is on d way 2 ur home. Next time, V will B harsher." But like a good boy Varun apologised for the mishap by saying, "My apologies Our cars weren’t moving since we were at a traffic signal and I didn’t want to hurt the sentiment of a fan but next time I’ll keep safety in mind and won’t encourage this."
But the Mumbai Police is not this easy to please, and they went ahead to give a hard- on reply to the actor.
They tweeted, "Quite a galactic coincidence for the photographer to be on the same signal to capture your gesture, in a good intent nevertheless risky. Leaning out even in a stationary vehicle can be distracting for others considering your popularity. Glad you took our message in d right spirit.”
Wan't that the most 'in your face reply' ever?
I suppose, Varun would now think twice before messing with the Police!
