The trailer of Vinod Kapri directorial Pihu has finally been released. The unconventional social thriller has a two-year-old girl as the leading character that will definitely shiver down your spin after watching the trailer.
Pihu will hit the theatre on November 16, 2018
In the video, a two-year-old girl named Pihu, is trapped in the house along with her mother who is either dead or unconscious. Produced by, Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur, the film claims of being based on a real incident.
The trailer has already created a lot of curiosity amongst the audience. Some of the most horrifying scenes from the trailer include when the electric appliances start on their own and when Pihu tries to jump from the balcony of her apartment to get her doll back.
During the earlier phase, director Vinod shared how he had to go through a lot of struggle for finding someone who can finance the film. Vinod said, “Most of them questioned me how am I going to hold the attention of the audience for 100 minutes with only one actor, who is a child? I was worried over the delay as the girl was growing up. I wanted to make the film with her before she turned three.”
When asked about his experience working with a child-artist, Myra, Vinod said, “We gave her time to acquaint herself with space as well as the crew. We would shoot for two hours a day. There were three cameras placed on the set because you can’t ask a two-year-old to give another take. The toys that you see in the film all belong to Myra.”
The poster which was released earlier shows a little girl picking up pills from the floor with an immobile body of a woman. What do you think about the trailer? Let us know in the comment’s section below and stay tuned for more Pihu related updates
