Rajkummar Rao believes in giving his heart and soul to the characters

We're all familiar with Rajkummar Rao's caliber with films like Bareilly Ki Barfi, Newton and Trapped but this year, he is ready to open new boundaries with Hansal Mehta's Omerta. The film is based on the real life of terrorist Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh.

Omerta is slated to release on April 20, 2018

In an exclusive interview, the Shahid actor spoke about how he has not internalized his success and why working with Hansal Mehta is so close to his heart.

After having projects like Shahid, Aligarh, Bose and now Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh in Omerta, Rajkummar Rao says that he is not looking to do biopics but as an actor, he loves to portray real-life characters. He takes the entire process of recreating somebody's life as a fun challenge.

Later Rao added that he always gives his heart and soul to the characters he performs. While comparing Trapped and Omerta, he said that playing Omar Saeed Sheikh was way tougher than Trapped.

On a related note, Rajkummar Rao recently won the National award for Amit V Masurkar's Newton which was also nominated as India's official entry for the Oscars’ Best Foreign Language Film category, but it failed to make it to the final cut.
