2k18 ended with a bang as Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer action-drama Simmba made sure that every family gets a heavy dose of entertainment. Rohit Shetty directorial cop-drama received a blockbuster opening at the Indian Box Office. Earlier, we revealed numbers which stated that debutant Sara's second movie was soon to enter the 200-crore club.
Although veteran actor Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter Sara's debut movie Kedarnath wasn't a hit but Shetty's Simmba surely proved to be a game-changer for her career as an actress. Recent reports have revealed that Dharma Productions' Simmba has finally entered the 200-crore club of Bollywood.
And likewise, Ranveer and Sara have entered the A-listers of Bollywood which already include Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Sonakshi Sinha and Kareena Kapoor Khan among others. We hardly ever encounter a Bollywood movie which happens to stay strong at the BO even in its second week.
Based on the life of a corrupt police officer, Sangram Bhalerao aka Ranveer Singh, the movie was released on 28th December 2018 and has been receiving a lot of love since then.
Karan Johar and Shetty's creation which is the Hindi remake of Telugu movie titled as Temper, managed to collect Rs 6.03 crore on Day 12 which took the total collection above 200-crore. To be precise, Simmba's total BO collection is Rs 202.83 crore till date.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted about the same through his official Twitter account. In his post, Taran wrote: "And Simmba roars louder with a double century... Hits Rs. 200 crore mark. Shows solid hold on weekdays, which indicates it won't slow down soon... (Week 2) Rs. Friday Rs. 9.02 crore, Saturday Rs. 13.32 crore, Sunday Rs. 17.49 crore, Monday Rs. 6.16 crore, Tuesday Rs. 6.03 crore. Total: Rs. 202.83 crore (India business)."
On a related note, Simmba is Ranveer Singh's second Bollywood movie that has crossed the 200-crore mark. Earlier, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum-opus Padmaavat crossed the 200-crore mark which featuring Ranveer, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor.
On the other hand, director Rohit has added a second character to his cinematic universe (Singham and Simmba) and has introduced his third cop-character, Suryavanshi who will be played by Khiladi Akshay Kumar on-screen.
