At the event in Mumbai, Rohit Shetty, Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, and Sonu Sood were present among others. Starring Sara Ali Khan and live-wire Ranveer Singh, Simmba is based on a South Indian movie titled as 'Temper'.

At the trailer launch, director Shetty revealed a lot of things about the movie including that he hopes that Simmba gets the same response as the trailer. “I hope Simmba gets the same response as the trailer,” said Shetty.

In the trailer, we witnessed a power-packed performance by star Ranveer Singh as Sangram Bhalerao aka Simmba. The fans are completely in love with Ranveer's rowdy character.

Talking about the lead character of the movie, Rohit said: “Our Simmba is Singham’s young one.”

"A cop film will work only if it includes the reflection of what’s happening in the society. You cannot show anything vague,” added Shetty.

Producer Karan Johar praised Ranveer for his role in the movie, by saying, “These two will not be able to stop themselves from giving us the best. Rohit Shetty will not be able to work without Ranveer Singh. Ranveer works on a Rohit Shetty film even when he is not working in it. This duo is out of the world, and all set to give us their best.”
