Salman and Katrina starrer Bharat to have an original music album, no recreation of old songs

India's favorite on-screen couple Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, who were last seen together in Ali Abbas Zafar's Tiger Zinda Hai, are gearing up to set the big screen on fire with Bharat. Helmed by Zafar, the film also features Disha Patani, Nora Fatehi and Sunil Grover in pivot roles.

While the different looks of the lead cast and teaser have left us all curious, new sources suggest that the film will be featuring six songs reflecting the festive mood. Now, these six songs won’t be any re-creation or remix version but they will be independent, recently-penned songs!

Considering how everyone prefer iconic Bollywood songs’ remixed versions for their movies these day, the whole idea of having new songs feels so fresh! “For the ongoing 40-day schedule, the team has recreated Delhi of the 1950s and ’60s. The music sittings started much before the film went on the floors in July last year and unlike the current trend, the album doesn’t have any recreated numbers,” a source revealed.

In these six songs, three will be focussing around Holi, Diwali and a wedding, while others have a romantic or tragedy fervour. Reports suggest that lasy yesr Salman and Katrina were shooting a Diwali song in Malta.

On a related note, Judwaa 2 actor Varun Dhawan will be seen making a cameo in this movie as a businessman. He shot his role in the Abu Dhabi schedule in October last year. Bharat will be Khan's third collaboration with Ali after Sultan and TZH. Salman and Katrina will be seen essaying five different looks in the movie.
