Singham maker Rohit Shetty is all set to create his very own cinematic universe with its newest addition, Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer Simmba. The recently released cop-drama Simmba was released on December 28th and since then has been making good collection at the Box Office.
In its first week, Ranveer and Sara starrer made remarkable collection at the Box Office. And recent reports suggest that KJo and Shetty's production is going strong even in its second week.
As per our latest reports, the film has managed to collect Rs 17.50 crore on its tenth day at the box office. The film registered a growth of 30% on Sunday from the previous day. The film has raked in a total of Rs 40 crore at the box office on its second weekend. The film has till now managed to collect a total of Rs 190.26 crore in ten days and is on its way to cross the Rs 200 crore mark.
On a related note, Simmba is based on a Telugu movie, Temper which is based on a corrupt police officer who falls in love with a girl who changes his life. The movie features Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood in pivotal characters.
The story of Rohit Shetty directorial revolves around a corrupt cop played by Ranveer Singh aka Sangram Bhalerao who works for a goon named Vikram Khanna. Later, Simmba falls in love with a girl named Shagun being played by Sara Ali Khan.
Also, Simmba is the second movie of Bollywood debutant Sara Ali Khan who was last seen in Abhishek Kapoor's directorial Kedarnath. Daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, Sara's debut movie also features Sushant Singh Rajput, Mir Sarwar and Tarun Gahlot in pivotal characters.
