Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath lands into legal trouble for alleged promotion of love-jihad in a local court at Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh. The movie that is based on the 2013 flash floods has received a legal notice by Jaunpur court.
The movie revolves around the love-story of a Muslim boy, Mansoor (Sushant Singh Rajput) and a Hindu girl, Mukku (Sara Ali Khan). As per our sources, the petitioner has named lead actor Sushant, debutant Sara and director Abhishek in the official complaint. The case was filed before the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM-II), Dhananjay Mishra on Monday.
The petitioner has pointed out towards the intimate scenes, alleged promotion of love-jihad and inappropriate display of intimacy at a pilgrimage when it was stuck with a natural calamity.
As per now, the court has fixed an upcoming date for hearing i.e., 17th January, 2019.
On a related note, Sara Ali Khan's debut movie Kedarnath has been doing decent business at the Indian box-office. Lead actors of the movie; Sara and Sushant Singh Rajput are being given the credits for the success of their movie.
