Ever since Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of harassing her while shooting for Horn Ok Pleasss in 2008, many Bollywood celebrities have come out in support of her; some have demanded answer and punishment for the culprit while others have shared their MeToo story but in every way, people are in favor of her.
Due to these allegations, Nana Patekar has been dropped off Housefull 4
Recently, the actress lost her calm while talking about legend Amitabh Bachchan. At the trailer launch of Big B’s upcoming movie Thugs of Hindostan, he was asked whether he is in favor of Tanushree or not. A simple question but Big B decided to not say anything.
After this incident, in an interview with HT, the actress showed her disappointment with Big B as she didn’t expect this kind of response from him. She said, “I’m hurt, as these are people who do movies on social causes."
Talking further about how such movies win hearts of the audience, the actress shared, "But when it comes to standing up and doing something about what is happening in front of you, there are these evasive statements that don’t make sense,”
While Tanushree and Nana's case has taken a legal route, she has also filed a defamation case against Rakhi Sawant, who reportedly said that Tanushree is a liar and she is cooking up stories. Tanushree has already filed a civil and criminal defamation case against Rakhi demanding a total sum of Rs 10 crore.
However, that’s not how things end. Rakhi Sawant has hit her back in full swing by threatening Tanushree to file a defamation case worth Rs. 50 crores for calling her middle-class among other things. She posted her videos on social media where she is denying all the allegations Tanushree has put on Nana Patekar and said that it would be unfair if the world is judging Nana on the basis of #MeToo.
Meanwhile, Nana Patekar has stepped down from the shooting of Housefull 4 and according to his lawyers, Nana has sent the legal notice to Tanushree, demanding a written apology.
