After establishing herself as a global star, The Sky Is Pink will be Priyanka’s comeback into the industry and we’re so excited about it.

“I’m so excited and happy about today..Some stories just need to be told. In the spirit of Aisha Chaudhry and her incredible parents Aditi and Niren we bring you our tentatively titled super special project The Sky is pink. Going on floors today. God Speed. @rsvpmovies @roykapurfilms @faroutakhtar @shonalibose_ @zairawasim_.” Priyanka captioned the image.

Till July, Priyanka had signed Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat as well but unfortunately, she decided to walk out of the movie co-starring Salman Khan and Disha Patani. Since her sudden exit, many wedding rumours have surrounded this controversy but Priyanka cleared the air.

“My personal life is not for public consumption. 90% of my life is for public consumption but 10% is for me. I am a girl and I have the right to keep that to myself. My family, friendship, my relationships are things I don't think I need to defend or explain it to anyone. I am not running for the Office, so I don't think I need to give explanations," Priyanka said.

Helmed and written by Margarita with a Straw fame Shonali Bose, the dialogues have been penned by writer Juhi Chaturvedi. The film is being produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies, Siddharth Roy Kapur's Roy Kapur Movies and Priyanka Chopra’s Purple Pebble Pictures.

"I am thrilled to be a part of this film. I immediately fell in love with the story when Sid and Shonali narrated it to me. It is a character that touched my heart and I am honoured to be playing this role. I am looking forward to working with Farhan and Priyanka," Zaira Wasim said in a statement.

According to reports, Universal Pictures has put on hold the Chris Pratt and Priyanka Chopra film Cowboy Ninja Viking. The movie was previously set to release on June 28, 2019. Let’s see how that goes. However, Priyanka is looking forward to the release of her next Hollywood flick- Isn’t It Romantic.

The Sky Is Pink revolves around the life of Aisha Chaudhary, a motivational speaker from Delhi who was born with an immune deficiency disorder and died in 2015 when she was just 18.

"I look forward to diving into this film. It’s very special to me. As soon I read it, I knew I had to be a part of telling this story, so I’m wearing two hats on this one as an actor and as a co-producer. In both aspects, I am equally excited to work with the amazing team of actors and technicians we have on board. Shonali is a formidable filmmaker and I can’t wait to see this story unfold in her expertise. I’m looking forward to working with Farhan, Ronnie and Sid again. All in all, it’s a great homecoming," Priyanka Chopra said in a statement.
