Dangal star Fatima Sana Shaikh is all set for her upcoming film Thugs of Hindostan co-starring Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif, where she will be portraying the role of a warrior and daughter of legend Amitabh Bachchan. Now, for this role she has to strictly take care of her fitness regime and while doing so, the actress leaves no chance to share it with her social media fans!

Some of her favorite’s workout includes squats, burpees, jumping jacks, rope exercise and much more. Talking about her debut film Dangal and its fitness routine, Fatima shared that she had undergone a proper training which included a lot of weight training.

When asked about her daily regime Shaikh said that when she is not working out for her film, her workout routine is only based on things that excite her because she can’t repeat the same thing every day. She also revealed that she is receiving a lot of functional training for Thugs of Hindostan.
Talking about the different types of training she received for Dangal and Thugs of Hindostan, Fatima said that in Dangal, she got the training of weight-training but as she’s playing the role of a warrior and faces explosive moments while shooting, she has received a lot functional training, which has been incorporated in her training which include tyre flips, burpees, and battle-ropes.
Speaking more about the same, she said that while shooting for Dangal she was on a 2,500 calories diet. She had to gain weight for the film as she was playing a wrestler in the movie. But for Thugs of Hindostan, she had to lose three kilos before began filming and the muscle mass that she had put on during the time of Dangal.
Sharing more, she also revealed about the time she was put on a calorie-restricted diet which was very difficult to follow as Fatima has never had a habit of counting calories. Recalling one such incident, the actress stated that she was given a calorie diet chart to follow but she ate a little more than what was permitted in order to achieve the result faster. It was disheartening and stressful as she couldn’t see the positive results. She would cry and look at her body thinking she has become ugly and that’s when she decided to take control on her diet.
However, now Shaikh is getting a hold of these eating habits and has adapted into them, happily. She loves ghee and malai but is now trying to skip unhealthy food!
