In a recent interview, Vidya said that with Manushi standing up for mothers and homemakers across the globe, maybe they will finally get their rightful dues.
That’s not all Vidya said. She also spoke about how indebted all of us are to our mothers. ‘People only value what they pay for. If they started paying a mother a salary, the family would go bankrupt. Mansuhi’s answer was bang on. It’s not the cash; it’s the respect and love you must show towards the mother for what she does silently, every single day. Universally, the energies are coming together.
In the question-and-answer round after she was shortlisted among the top five, Manushi was asked: "Which profession deserves the highest salary and why?" She replied: "I think a mother is of highest respect. I don't think its just about cash but love and respect she gives to someone. She is the biggest inspiration in my life. Mother should get highest respect."
On a related note, Manushi also won the 'Beauty with a Purpose' award. She was always confident about winning the title.
