We were all shocked when we saw four young girls performing brilliantly in the 2016 blockbuster movie, Dangal. Well, they've all managed to create their own space in the industry but one has always stood out. Yes, we're talking about Zaira Wasim. After stunning performances in Dangal and Secret Superstar, looks like Zaira is on her way to emerge as one of the biggest Bollywood stars.
Zaira was present at the 37th Hong Kong Film Awards
According to reports, Zaira has bagged a major Bollywood film, where she will be sharing the screen space with Priyanka Chopra and Abhishek Bachchan!
Helmed by Shonali Bose, the film is being touted as the true-life story of Aisha Chaudhary. Zaira will be seen as Aisha, whereas PeeCee and Jr. Bachchan as her parents.
“Zaira really liked the script and has given her nod to the project. Shonali is currently busy with the pre-production and is hoping to start shooting by the middle of this year in Mumbai. Priyanka and Abhishek will play parents to Zaira’s character," a source revealed.
On a related note, Aisha was young eighteen year old girl, who was born with an immune deficiency disorder. Irrespective of her condition, she has inspired hundreds of people and has also written a book, My Little Epiphanies. She was named an INK Fellow and was also a speaker at TEDx Pune in 2013. She died at the age of 18 in 2015.
