Indian food is a luxury when eating on foreign land!

Recently, our very own talented Saransh Goila, represented India on the show as a guest judge where the contestants tried their best to make his signature dish: Goila butter chicken.

Sounds like a dream come true, this story began when Chef George Calombaris - also one of the judges on Masterchef Australia - visited India and came across the delicious Goila Butter Chicken. Calombaris was so impressed that he immediately invited Saransh to the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival.

Sharing his experience on Masterchef Australia, Chef Saransh Goila said, "It was a dream come true. Everybody was so sporting and positive there. All the contestants and judges are clapping for you and applauding you and they’re saying good things about you and your country. You can't match that feeling because when you realize you’re not there to just represent yourself, you’re here to represent your country, it’s like a pressure test on me also, not just the contestant. Because I’m representing my country. I need to make sure I speak well, I look okay. I need to make sure I represent my country well and my food should taste good."

Crediting his grandmother and mother for his art of cooking, Saransh said, "My mom wanted me to be a biotechnologist, and I always wanted to be an actor."

But it wasn't until his father, who pushed him to pursue a career in culinary arts. The idea of being able to cook for others have always fascinated and brought joy to the young Chef Saransh Goila. From learning these skills from his family to binge-watching Sanjeev Kapoor's Khana Khazana, Chef Saransh Goila has a long way to go!

Talking about his special dish, Goila Butter Chicken is his legacy. He has already opened outlets in Mumbai and now plans to move forward to Delhi and Gurugram. His customers loved his butter chicken so much that they've already started the hashtag #goilabutterchicken. His butter chicken recipe is not only a gastronomic experience but also, the way he likes to call it, guilt-free.

After completing his bachelor's degree in culinary arts, Chef Saransh Goila first came on-screen on a show called 'Food Food Maha Challenge'. Right after winning the show, he was awarded with his own show, 'Roti Rasta aur India'.

Also, he has written a book titled ‘India on My Platter: The 20,000 km Food Journey', which showcases everything he's known from his travel show.

Now he's prepping up for the second part of his book because he believes culinary knowledge is supposed to be shared and nurtured; not to be kept hidden away.

Come to Delhi, soon! Please.
