The journey of Game of Thrones will come to an next year, however, the show continues to push boundaries. Also, till some extent the show has indeed blurred the lines between television and film production as their one episode costs as much as a full-fledged movie. But Season 8 is different and the show is set to go beyond!
“Having the largest battle doesn’t sound very exciting — it actually sounds pretty boring. Part of our challenge, and really, Miguel’s challenge, is how to keep that compelling… we’ve been building toward this since the very beginning, it’s the living against the dead, and you can’t do that in a 12-minute sequence," said one of the creators and showrunners David Benioff.
As we all know that the final season is going to be all about the battle between the living and the Night King with his army of White Walkers. The Wall, the structure that protected the realm for millennia, was broken down and Night King’s onslaught had already begun by the time the last season finished.
The publication reports that one of the biggest battles — if not the biggest — will probably take place in Winterfell, the ancestral seat of the House of Stark. The set was vastly expanded to accommodate the combatants. “It’s brutal. It makes the Battle of the Bastards look like a theme park," said Peter Dinklage.
The final season will be more than just mindblowing, it is going to emotional and bittersweet. The cast has grown with the show and so have we. “Everything feels more intense. I had a scene with someone and I turned to him and said, ‘Oh my God, I’m not going to do this ever again,’ and that brings tears to my eyes," said Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen).
