Feature

Veteran Director Steven Spielberg says his next Indiana Jones could very well be a woman. According to him, this change may upset fans but he’s ready to bring an innovative concept to the film in ‘a different form’.

Spielberg says that he has been influenced by powerful women in his family.

Steven Spielberg is going to 'terribly' miss his friend Steven Bochco, 47, who recently passed away. Looking back, this role was made popular by Harrison Ford, 75. According to a tabloid, Spielberg was asked if his innovative concept would include a female Jones and this is what he had to say, "We would have to change the name from Jones to Joan. And there would be nothing wrong with that."

This renowned 71-year-old is also a vocal champion of the Time's-Up initiative that stands for gender equality in the film fraternity. He is not oblivious to the hold of powerful women. His mom, Leah passed away last year at the age of 97 had raised him and his three sisters nearly alone due to his workaholic engineer dad, Arnold who is 101 year old as he was barely around his family.

Spielberg got hitched to Kate Capshaw, the actress of the sequel to Indiana Jones since 1991. He shares, "My mom was strong. She had a voice; she had a very strong opinion. I have been very lucky to be influenced by women, several of whom I have just loved madly -- my mom and my wife."
