Tiger Shroff is back reprising the role of Ronnie in the sequel of 2016 hit Baaghi, co-starring Disha Patani. Before we begin talking about this movie, there is something you all should know. Baaghi 2 is a full-ticket into the world of action and thrill. This movie has surely lifted the action genre, for real!
The story begins with Neha (Disha Patani) getting beaten by two goon, who kidnap her daughter. While Ronnie (Tiger Shroff) is the most monstrous army officer posted in Kashmir. Through flashbacks, the makers reveal how the two were in love and have been separated since 4 years. Going through their love story, Tiger arrives in Goa where Neha is in trouble. While in the parallel track, the makers make us go through how there is something fishy with the entire kidnapping case. You will get to know everything but layer by layer so watch till the end. Ronnie’s journey of finding Riya explores a lot of outlawed things happening in the system. Tackling both the tracks, the story develops towards the end and mystery reveals.
Adaptation of a Telugu film by Adivi Sesh, titled Kshanam Sajid Nadiadwala has managed to make some changes in the second instalment. The best thing about the movie is its action and makers knew this since the word go. Ahmed had Tiger as his ace player and he has utilized the most of him. This surely is one film in which Tiger Shroff has been used to his full throttle. However, the script has alot of loopholes but just try to avoid them for Tiger!
Baaghi 2 is Tiger's best performance till date. He has a good physique and he has really taken honest efforts to portray himself. When it comes to action he obtains more than full marks and is a treat to watch. Disha Patani being the gorgeous actress she is, we wish she had a juicier role in this one. But whatever time she is, she charms with presence but some meaningless traits kill the full. Though Randeep Hooda and Prateik Babbar’s presence comes in as the biggest surprise. Manoj Bajpayee’s character is a hurriedly written product but because of his talent, the balance gets maintained. Track of Deepak Dobriyal’s friendship with Tiger was also half-baked and could have been much better.
Julius Packiam upgrades the ‘get ready to fight’ theme and use it smartly behind the scenes. The score elevates the action scenes and is used very well where required. Songs are forced barring a couple of them. Atif Aslam’s O Saathi has been well used and Jacqueline’s Ek Do Teen looks stunning on screen. Nothing memorable about the songs but I, kind of, was waiting for Soniye Dil Nahi throughout the film.
Helmed by Ahmed Khan, Baaghi 2 is big time! Apart from the flaws, Ahmed manages to keep the thrill alive. I'm sure the audice will love this one and there's no way we're giving this movie any less than 7/10! Just for you Tiger! Follow our Bollywood Magazine For Latest Bollywood News and Gossips.
