A crime happens and makes some people race against time to turn it away. Who are the real bad guys and what's their actual movie? Bombairiya's plot looked more interesting in the trailer as after a point you may feel suffocated dealing with this pointless comedy of errors. The movie is directed by Pia Sukanya and the cast includes Radhika Apte, Akshay Oberoi, Ravi Kishan, Shilpa Shukla, Siddhanth Kapoor, Akshat Verma and Adil Hussain.
The plot of the film is set in Mumbai, showcasing the traces of a crazy day in the life of Meghna (Radhika Apte), who introduces herself as a PR manager but she hates people. A weird incident makes her run into two strangers (Akshay Oberoi and Siddhant Kapoor). Some mysterious situations makes the trio stick together and what or who makes them do it, forms the story.
The story deliberately withholds information or character introductions to put some amount of suspense in the story but after a few minutes in the film, all the chaos and confusions gets too silly and loud. The execution is so random; we suggest you don't even try to engage with it. The story leaves too many things unexplained and fails to build curiosity among audience.
All the actors are great and try to keep you indulged in this dark comedy. To sum it up, we think Bombairiya is too chaotic, confused, messy, lacks real humour and the thought behind it couldn't get portrayed as well as it could have. If you go to watch this flick, you'd probably learn that not complicated film is a clever idea and this was indeed silly. Series of forced mishappening here are surely to drain your patience and ability to decode the real reason behind all the madness.
Well, we all have that one worst day of our life sometimes and unlike Meghna you should say shit happens and then just move on. The makers of Bombairiya should do the same now. We give this crazy senseless movie 3.5 out of 10!
