Much like the last time, you are going to love this one as well. The salient hero of the movie- writer Vipul Vig has maintained the same charm in this one too. He has written some amazing dialogues with a better explanation of events. My personal recommendation would be, not to miss Fukrey Returns as Bollywood has no major releases for a couple of weeks until Tiger Zinda Hai.
We're well aware of the amazing star cast of the movie and all of them have done exceptionally well. Starting with the star of the film, Varun Sharma has some hilarious sequences in this one. Just when we thought Choocha couldn't get better, he jumps and improvises it for the best! He has the most screen space then the entire role of many others, which is not a bad thing. The director knew he has an asset and he used it perfectly to get fruitful results. Second in line, are Pulkit Samrat and Pankaj Tripathi, they too have very important roles in the movie and they excel with their characters. Richa Chadha, remains the same Sin-derella that she was in the first one. Interestingly, her unconventional chemistry with Choocha is taken one step forward in this one. Unfortunately, Ali Fazal and Manjot Singh has very little screen time but they did not disappoint with whatever they did. Vishakha Singh and Priya Anand are majorly ignored compared to what they had in the first part.
Nonetheless the movie is a full ticket into the world of entertainment and laughter. The major difference between the prequel and this one is – everything was very well placed in the earlier one. The movie has one of the best background music of all the movies released this year. A major contribution to the score is by the composer of first part Ram Sampath as the makers decide to keep the best music portions intact.
Directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, Fukrey Returns deserves a 7.5/10. Retaining the magic of the first part, this easily is one of the best comedies of the year.
