Abhishek Bachchan to play villain in Indian 2, Akshay and Boman Irani in talks

Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan is reported to be in talks to play a key role in S. Shankar forthcoming venture, Indian 2 featuring Kamal Hassan. According to reports, Jr. Bachchan has been offered the role of the antagonist in the movie.

Report further claims that other Bollywood celebrities including Boman Irani, John Abraham and Akshay Kumar have also been approached for the same. However, no confirmation has been made by the makers till yet.

On the auspicious day of Pongal, director S. Shankar unveiled the first look of the movie. In the poster, an old and angry Haasan seems to be coming down on everyone to take on corruption once again. Indian 2 is the sequel to the 1996 Tamil blockbuster, Indian.

Discussing his future project, Shankar said in an interview earlier, “A lot of things happened around us in these years, and all that will be discussed in the sequel. Though I have done many films, Indian 2 will be close to my heart. After finishing every film, I used to think about developing a sequel to Indian, but finally, it materialised this year. The script has come out very well.”

The film went on floors last week. The music of the movie will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander and other other crew members include production designer Muthuraj, editor Sreekar Prasad, dialogues writers Jayamohan, Kabilan Vairamuthu and Lakshmi Sarvanakumar, action directors Jack Gill, Tadd Griffith and Peter Hein, lyricist Thamrai Vivek, choreographer Bosco and special make up by Legacy Effects.
