Acclaimed director AR Murugadoss faces legal trouble as he is yet again accused of plagarisim, in relation to his upcoming Tamil film Sarkar. According to reports, The South Indian Film Writer's Association has confirmed that Sarkar is very identical to Varun Rajendran’s Sengol script.
The complaint was filed right after Sarkar's teaser was out. Going by Varun Rajendran, Murugadoss has copied his script and demanded an appropriate investigation. After a complete check, the association put out a statement today where they clearly stated that both the scripts are indeed similar and their support lies with Rajendran.
The Madras High Court will hear the case on plagiarism on October 30th, this Tuesday and the film might see a delay, if the verdict goes against them.
On a related note, Aramm fame director Gopi Nainar accused Murugadoss for plagarisim as well. He claimed that Kaththi was very similar to one of his scripts.
Sarkar happens to be Vijay and Murugadoss' thrid collaboration, after giving two blockbusters Thupakki and Kaththi. This much-anticipated movie has already crossed over 25 million views on YouTube. It also features Keerthy Suresh, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu and Radha Ravi in pivot roles.
