Superstar Rajinikanth believes that Akshay Kumar's supervillain role is the more important character than his in their upcoming film, 2.0.
2.0 starring Rajnikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson will be releasing on 29 November.
In a recent interview with a leading Tamil daily, Mega movie star Rajinikanth was as usual very generous as he only praised his cast and crew that worked on his soon to be released film, 2.0. This movie is a sequel to his 2010 hit film, Enthiran and the shooting process of this film took almost three years to complete.
“Except for main characters, 2.0 is a completely different film from Enthiran. Major Hollywood studios adjusted their prior commitments to work on this project as they were so impressed with the subject of the film," he said.
He expressed how Akshay Kumar's superviallain role is more important charater in 2.0 if compared to Vaseegaran and Chitti. “In 2.0, Akshay is the villain and the hero. Chitti and Vaseegaran were needed in this movie (for continuation), that’s why filmmakers put Rajinikanth in this film. Otherwise, Rajinikanth is not needed in this movie,” he added.
Rajinikanth continued praising Akshay Kumar for his patience and commitment that he showed for this particular film. He said, “If I were Akshay Kumar, I would have been fed up of this project. He worked very hard for this film with unimaginable patience. No amount of praise is enough to match his work in the film. His character will be talked about very highly after the film’s release.”
The Tamil superstar also gave a major hint about 2.0 that there is definitely a surprise character as well, “I can’t reveal it right now. But I am sure the audience will enjoy it definitely.”
The trailer of 2.0 was released on the 3rd November and took the internet by a storm. The movie is all set to hit the big screen on November 29, 2018.
