Finally, the day has come when Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 has been released. The release of S. Shankar directorial 2.0 lead to the High Court banning over 13000 piracy websites for preventing the piracy of Rajinikanth starrer.
The Madras High Court has directed 37 internet service providers (ISPs) to block over 12,000 websites that exhibit pirated versions of Tamil movies. Also, the list of banned websites includes more than 2,000 websites operated by ‘TamilRockers’.
Although, Madras High court did everything there was yto do for preventing the piracy of Rajinikanth-starrer but our recent reports suggest that 2.0 has been leaked by none-other-than 'TamilRockers'. Yes, you heard it right!
The much-awaited multi-lingual project backed up by Lyca Productions, 2.0 has been leaked online despite the ban on over 12000 piracy websites. Rajinikanth's fans posted the same on Twitter for informing about the leak of recently released movie.
A notorious torrent website, TamilRockers has leaked the movie online which can be downloaded easily. Soon after its leak, fans bombarded Twitter with posts advising the makers to take a legal action against the website.
Previous reports made it clear that Madras High court has imposed a ban on over 37 internet service providers (ISP). Lyca's counsel Vijayan Subramaniam also added that when ‘TamilRockers’ website is blocked, it immediately creates mirror websites by changing an insignificant part of the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) or any other extension, and are therefore able to reinstate the infringing material with minimal effort.
On a related note, 2.0 is a sequel of 2010's hit movie, Robot which had Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in pivotal characters. Superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer movie also features Amy Jackson in a pivotal character.
