On Monday, The Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) informed the exhibitors of upcoming movie Sarkar starring Vijay that a portal which hosts pirated versions of numerous films has said they would upload the HD version on the film as soon as it hits the theatres.
After Sarkar, Vijay will be working with hit-filmmaker Atlee for his next movie.
Vijay starrer much awaited Tamil movie, Sarkar has released today but the exhibitors are still worried after a message they received on Monday. They were informed by The Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) that Tamilrockers, a website which hosts pirated versions of films has tweeted that they would upload the HD version of Sarkar as early as Tuesday evening.
Tamilrockers tweet read, “#Sarkar HD Print Coming.”
TFPC said on record that the portal would not be able to succeed in its illegal attempt and they also urged the movie theatres for keeping a strict check inside the halls as well to prevent recording of the movie using cameras or mobile phones.
Few weeks ago, Vijay said in an interview that corruption spreads like a virus in our country. If the leader at the top is honest, only then their followers would be too. He also mentioned that bribes are demanded even for issuing a simple death or birth certificates in our country. In Sarkar, the renowned actor plays a role of a very successful CEO who eventually takes over the failing political system of the state and then turns their fortunes around. “I am a corporate criminal,” Vijay said in this movie's teaser.
Apart from Vijay, Sarkar star cast includes Keerthy Suresh, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Yogi Babu among others. The film is the biggest Diwali release this year in south Indian cinemas and is expected to break box office records from day one itself.
